Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita on Tuesday urged officials to work with dedication to implement the Election Manifesto 2026, setting out short-, medium- and long-term plans to bring visible improvements to the civil aviation and tourism sectors.

The call came at a meeting held at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism to review progress in implementing the National Commitment (Election Manifesto 2026), says a press release.

Addressing officials, the minister said: “Work with enthusiasm so that we can advance the vision and thoughts of our Hon’ble Prime Minister.” She directed that commitments related to civil aviation and tourism be categorised into short-, medium- and long-term targets to ensure effective and time-bound implementation.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat said visible changes in the sector must be achieved within the next six months. He also stressed the importance of prudent financial management in carrying out the pledged programmes.

Secretary of the ministry Ms Nasrin Jahan, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh Air Vice Marshal Md Mostafa Mahmud Siddiq, and other senior officials of the ministry and its subordinate agencies were present at the meeting.
