The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced jet fuel prices for both domestic and international flights following changes in global market rates.

In a notice issued on Saturday, BERC said the revision was made in response to significant fluctuations in international jet fuel prices. The new rates took effect from midnight and will remain effective until further notice.

Under the revised pricing structure, the price of jet fuel for domestic flights has been fixed at Tk 165.88 per litre, down from Tk 205.45, marking a reduction of Tk 39.57 per litre.

For international flights, the price has been set at $1.0823 per litre, compared with the previous rate of $1.3385, reflecting a decrease of $0.256 per litre.

Officials said the adjustment aligns domestic pricing with global energy market trends, which have recently seen a decline in aviation fuel costs.
