ME conflict cancels 201 flights in a month at Ctg airport

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has led to a major disruption in international flight operations, with a total of 201 flights cancelled at Shah Amanat International Airport in the last one month since February 28, says a press release.
According to the release, seven more international flights were cancelled on March 27, as the security situation in the Middle East continues to deteriorate and impact aviation movements.
Despite widespread disruptions, three arrival and five departure flights between Chattogram and Middle Eastern destinations remained operational on Friday.

Airport authorities said the cumulative cancellations have now reached 201 international flights, underscoring the severe impact of the Middle East crisis on Bangladesh’s aviation sector.
Officials added that operations remain uncertain and subject to rapid change depending on the evolving situation in the region.
