A spectacular new performing arts centre, Dar Al Funoon, will open beside the Saadiyat Cultural District in 2030, creating a world-class destination for theatre, music, opera, dance, and live performances.
As Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak described it, the venue will be "a centre of excellence" and "a place where we celebrate all art forms of performance."

Abu Dhabi has announced Dar Al Funoon (House of the Arts), a world-class performing arts centre set to open in 2030 next to the Saadiyat Cultural District.
Designed by the late architect Frank Gehry, Dar Al Funoon will become one of the Middle East's most advanced performing arts venues, featuring:
- 🎭 A 2,000+ seat multipurpose performance hall
- 🌟 A 3,500-seat open-air amphitheatre
- 🎼 A 400-seat experimental studio theatre
- 🎷 A 250-seat jazz theatre
- 🎶 Year-round programming with 365 days of performances, including opera, ballet, theatre, music, and cultural events.
The project further strengthens Abu Dhabi's vision of becoming a global hub for arts, culture, and creative exchange.
