The majestic Burj Al Arab in Dubai

The iconic Jumeirah Burj Al Arab in the Dubai city of the United Arab Emirates will undergo its first major restoration since its opening in 1999, with an 18-month phased renovation planned to preserve the landmark’s legacy.

Owned by Jumeirah Group, a subsidiary of the Dubai Holding, the project aims to protect the sail-shaped hotel as a global symbol of luxury tourism while enhancing its interiors.

The hotel will remain operational during the restoration, ensuring uninterrupted hospitality services.

Acclaimed French interior architect Tristan Auer, known for restoring heritage sites like Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, will lead the project following a competitive selection process.
