Pre-registration for Hajj 2027 begins for expatriate Bangladeshis
Expatriates can perform Hajj through either government or private arrangements and must complete pre-registration through the e-Hajj system at www.hajj.gov.bd
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that pre-registration for Hajj 2027 is now open for expatriate Bangladeshi citizens wishing to perform Hajj under the country's Hajj quota, says a press release.
According to the release signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Shafiuzzaman Bhuiyan, expatriates can perform Hajj through either government or private arrangements and must complete pre-registration through the e-Hajj system at www.hajj.gov.bd.
Applicants need a Bangladeshi passport, national identity card, or birth certificate, a passport-size photograph, a WhatsApp-enabled mobile number, and Bangladeshi bank account details. One bank account would be sufficient for multiple applicants from a family.
During registration, applicants must also submit NRB (Non-Resident Bangladeshi) information along with a valid residency document stating their country of residence.
The notification said Hajj packages and guidelines for 2027 will be announced soon, after which applicants must select a package and complete registration in the e-Hajj system.
Registered pilgrims will be required to follow instructions issued by the Saudi government throughout the process.
