Tourist spots in Bandarban to stay shut until July 15
The Bandarban district administration extends tourist travel ban and closes all diversion spots amid heavy rainfall and the risk of potential natural disasters

The travel ban for tourists in Bandarban has been extended further due to continuous heavy rainfall and the risk of potential natural disasters. All tourist centres in the district will remain closed until 15 July. At the same time, the district administration has maintained the restriction on tourist travel.
The information was announced in an emergency public notice issued on Friday (10 July) afternoon, signed by the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Shahidul Ferdous. Previously, the ban was in effect until Friday (10 July).
The notice stated that due to recent heavy rains, there is a risk of communication disruptions in various parts of the district. Additionally, considering the potential risk of natural disasters, the validity of the earlier notice issued on 9 July has been extended until 15 July.
During this period, entry and travel by tourists and the general public will be completely prohibited at all tourist centres, waterfalls, hill trails, river routes, remote areas, and other risky locations across the district. The district administration has urged the public to comply with this directive.
