Saudi Arabia praises Bangladesh's Hajj management
The Saudi minister commended Bangladesh's Ministry of Religious Affairs for the successful management of Hajj 2026 and congratulated for providing services to pilgrims through dedicated leadership
Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah has highly praised Bangladesh's management of this year's Hajj operations during a bilateral meeting with Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain in Riyadh on Thursday.
The meeting was held at the Pilgrims Experience Program Centre in the Saudi capital, reports state news agency BSS.
During the meeting, the Saudi minister commended Bangladesh's Ministry of Religious Affairs for the successful management of Hajj 2026 and congratulated the religious affairs minister for providing services to pilgrims through dedicated leadership.
He also conveyed his gratitude to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman through the minister and sought Bangladesh's continued cooperation in further improving overall Hajj management in the coming years.
Al-Rabiah highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Saudi government to enhance arrangements for Hajj 2027 and expressed hope for continued collaboration with Bangladesh to ensure better services for pilgrims.
The religious affairs minister thanked the Saudi government for what he described as unprecedented improvements in overall Hajj management.
He expressed gratitude to Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Mohammed bin Salman and the Saudi Hajj minister for ensuring a conducive environment for pilgrims through enhanced security measures, traffic management, crowd control, extensive use of information technology and improved services at the holy sites.
Kaykobad assured Bangladesh's continued support for Saudi Arabia's efforts to further improve Hajj management and services for pilgrims.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammad Delwar Hossain, Hajj Counsellor Md Kamrul Islam and senior officials from both countries attended the meeting.
