Football mania is everywhere. For football fans in Bangladesh, the World Cup final brought the country to a standstill. From Dhaka's five-star hotels and restaurants to cafés, clubs and tourist destinations countrywide, fans watched the biggest match of the tournament together on giant screens and livestreams in hotel lobbies and ballrooms with supporters from different backgrounds.

As football fans around the globe prepared for the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026 Final between Argentina and Spain, The Westin Dhaka, Sheraton Dhaka, Hotel Sarina, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel, Le Méridien Dhaka, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, InterContinental Dhaka, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, Hotel Omni Residency and several other hospitality venues transformed the biggest night in football into an unforgettable celebration with spectacular live screenings, premium dining experiences, and exclusive World Cup-themed festivities.

At The Westin Dhaka, guests immersed themselves in the excitement at the vibrant Grand Ballroom Fan Zone, the elegant TLR (Lobby Level), Splash, and Daily Treats, where specially curated World Cup menus, handcrafted football-themed cakes, artisan desserts, and signature beverages created the perfect match-day experience. All its seats of the screening event were booked in advance.

Meanwhile, Sheraton Dhaka presented 'World Cup Fever' at its magnificent 8,000 sq. ft. Grand Ballroom, featuring four giant 20 ft. × 10 ft. LED screens for an immersive viewing experience. Guests had the option to choose from General Admission with food and beverage offerings or indulge in the VIP Lounge Experience, complete with front-row sofa seating, dedicated service, premium refreshments, and exclusive goodie bags. The celebration also included interactive games, exciting Predict & Win contests, post-match victory celebrations, and a fully air-conditioned premium venue.

At Sheraton Dhaka, Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan watched the final alongside football supporters and guests.

Enthusiasm was not limited to the capital. Hotels, resorts and tourism destinations in Cox's Bazar, Sylhet, Srimangal, Bandarban, Rangamati and other parts of the country are also preparing big-screen screenings and special events.
