Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended flights to six Middle Eastern destinations since February 28 amid the deteriorating regional situation, offering affected passengers full refunds or free date changes.

The suspended routes are Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait and Dammam, and will remain halted until further notice. The airline said services on these routes will stay suspended pending fresh directives from the relevant authorities, says a press release signed by the airline’s General Manager (Public Relations), Bosra Islam.

However, flights to four other Middle Eastern destinations — Jeddah, Medina, Riyadh and Muscat — are continuing without disruption. The suspension is expected to affect thousands of passengers who had booked tickets for travel during this period.

Passengers holding tickets for the suspended routes are entitled to full refunds without any additional charges or may reschedule their travel free of cost. These services are available at Biman sales offices at home and abroad, as well as through the respective travel agencies that issued the tickets.

Biman’s General Manager (Public Relations) said passenger safety and security remain the airline’s highest priority. “We sincerely apologise to our valued passengers for this temporary inconvenience,” the airline said in the statement.

The airline added that it is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and will inform passengers of any further developments. For updated flight information, passengers may contact the Biman call centre at 13636 from within Bangladesh or +880 9610 913636 from overseas.
