Westin Dhaka unveils ‘Taste of Arabia’

The Westin Dhaka, in collaboration with Prime Partner BRAC Bank PLC, launches Taste of Arabia, an exclusive Arabian Food Festival that brings together the rich culinary heritage, authentic flavours, and timeless hospitality of the Middle East. The festival will be held from 30 July to 8 August 2026 at city’s best restaurant Seasonal Taste, at The Westin Dhaka, offering guests an unforgettable gastronomic experience inspired by the legendary kitchens of Arabia.
The festival was officially inaugurated today through an exclusive Press Meet and Meet & Greet attended by distinguished diplomats, corporate leaders, aviation partners, members of the media, and invited guests at Prego, Level 23, The Westin Dhaka. The inaugural ceremony was featured by Omar Mohie Eldin Ahmed Fahmy, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bangladesh; Rashed Al-Mali Al-Zaabi, Director of the Foreign Aid Office, Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Bangladesh; Md. Shakawath Hossain, Chief Executive Officer of Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC., Syed Md. Mobin Rashid, Country Manager – Bangladesh, Air Arabia; Gary Farstad, General Manager of The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka; Mamunur Rahman Shumon, Director of Sales & Marketing, The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka. The inauguration concluded with an exclusive tasting session featuring signature dishes that will be showcased throughout the festival.
Adding exceptional authenticity to the celebration, Chef Mahmud Abdel Fattah from the Arab Republic of Egypt in Dhaka joins hands with Executive Chef Shopon Rozario and the Westin Dhaka’s expert culinary team to curate an extraordinary menu that captures the diverse culinary traditions of the Arab world. Guests will embark on a remarkable culinary journey through the Middle East with an extensive buffet featuring iconic regional specialties, including Signature Camel Kabsa, Camel Tagine, Sultan’s Camel Majboos, Lamb Quzi, Chicken Mandi, Mixed Grills, live Döner Kebab and Shawarma stations, alongside an impressive selection of traditional Mezze, freshly baked Arabic breads, and authentic Arabian desserts. Every dish has been thoughtfully prepared to recreate the vibrant flavours and warm hospitality of Arabia.
The Taste of Arabia buffet dinner will be available daily from 30 July to 8 August 2026, from 6:30pm to 11:00pm, at BDT 9,450 net per person.
