Bangladesh’s national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Sunday announced that all its Middle East-bound flights, except those to Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will operate as per schedule and urged passengers to arrive at airports four hours before departure.

In a notice issued by its public relations division, the national flag carrier said flights to other Middle Eastern destinations would depart on time today.

However, services to Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi remain outside the scheduled operations.

Biman requested all passengers to reach the airport at least four hours prior to their scheduled departure time to complete necessary formalities smoothly.

Meanwhile, Bosra Islam, General Manager (Public Relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Sunday said, “Flight BG 337 from Dhaka to Medina, which was cancelled on February 28, will depart at 4:00pm local time on March 1.”

"Flight BG 335 from Dhaka to Jeddah, also cancelled on February 28, is scheduled to depart at 7:00 p.m. local time on Sunday," she said, adding that Dhaka to Riyadh flight also rescheduled tomorrow.

"Flight BG 339 from Dhaka to Riyadh, which was cancelled on the same day has been reschuled to operate on March 2 (Monday) at 1:00pm local time," Bosra added.

Biman had temporarily suspended several flight operations on February 28 amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following developments involving Iran, citing safety concerns.

Passengers have been requested to report to the airport in accordance with the revised departure schedule, the airline said.
