Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all flights to Middle Eastern destinations following escalating tensions linked to reported joint attacks by the United States and Israel in Iran, the airline said on Saturday.

In an immediate notice issued by its public relations department, the national carrier said all Middle East-bound flights had been put on hold due to ongoing attacks affecting parts of the region, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.

“Until further notice, all services on Middle Eastern routes have been suspended,” the airline said in a statement released through its PR department on Saturday.

The decision was taken considering the evolving security situation in parts of the Middle East. The airline added that it remained committed to maintaining the highest safety standards for passengers and crew.

Biman said it would continue to monitor the security and operational environment and adjust its services proactively as necessary.
