The US Embassy in Dhaka has invited qualified academics and researchers to apply for the prestigious Fulbright Scholar Programme, offering research and teaching opportunities at leading universities across the United States.
According to the embassy, the programme is designed for scholars holding a PhD or other terminal degree and provides opportunities for postdoctoral research as well as teaching and research placements lasting either one academic semester or a full academic year.
"If selected, scholars receive a six-to-nine-month research or lecturing grant, beginning in September 2027. Experienced Bangladeshi professionals, university faculty members, and researchers at think tanks and relevant government and non-government organisations with 10 or more years of professional experience are invited to apply."
The Fulbright Scholar Programme brings together approximately 800 scholars from around the world each year, enabling participants to collaborate with international experts, expand their academic networks and contribute to research and higher education.

Interested and qualified candidates must submit their applications before the official deadline of October 3, 2026, at 11:59 pm BST.
