Chess Olympiad: Oman Air welcomes Bangladesh team

Oman Air has welcomed Bangladesh’s national chess players and officials as the country’s delegation travels to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for the 46th Chess Olympiad.
The team was received at the airport by Abu Saleh Rizvee, sales manager of Oman Air Bangladesh, who met the players and officials before their departure and wished them success in the international competition.
The Chess Olympiad is among the most prominent global team chess events, bringing together players representing countries from around the world. Bangladesh’s participation highlights the country’s continued involvement in international chess and efforts to develop the sport.
Rizvee said Oman Air was pleased to support the delegation and be associated with Bangladesh’s participation in the tournament.
“Representing Bangladesh on an international platform is a matter of great pride, and we are delighted to be part of their journey,” he said, wishing the team success in Tashkent.
Oman Air said its engagement with Bangladesh extends beyond air connectivity through cooperation with local stakeholders and support for initiatives linked to the country’s international presence.
The airline also highlighted Tashkent as an increasingly important destination for travel from Bangladesh, with opportunities spanning tourism, business, education and sports.
Oman Air operates daily flights on the Dhaka-Muscat route. It also connects Bangladesh with destinations across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa while promoting its Omani hospitality.
