Alfadanga Club members inspect erosion-hit areas on Madhumati

Alfadanga Club has organised a boat trip on the Madhumati River in Faridpur's Alfadanga. The trip, held with the participation of the organisation's members, included visits to various areas along the riverbank as well as observation of the overall situation of river erosion.
The programme, held under the chairmanship of club president Omar Ali, was attended by the organisation's general secretary, treasurer and members from various levels. Among others, Alfadanga municipality mayoral candidate Md Mamun Ar Rashid Ivan and Bellal Munshi took part.
During the boat trip, members toured the Madhumati-adjacent areas of Dignagar, Chardanga and Bana. At the same time, they inspected erosion-hit locations on the ground and inquired about the affected people.
During the trip, members discussed various problems, prospects and social issues of the area among themselves. At that time, President Omar Ali instructed the members on the club's activities, organisational matters and future plans.
Later, members offered their views on strengthening the organisation's dynamism and organisational base. At the same time, emphasis was placed on increasing the club's involvement in social and public welfare work in the future.
Those concerned said the event created an opportunity for members to directly see the real picture of erosion-hit areas, alongside increasing mutual communication and goodwill among them.
