Bangladesh, Singapore discuss cooperation in aviation modernisation, tourism

Bangladesh and Singapore have discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in aviation modernisation and tourism development during a courtesy meeting between Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam and Singapore Ambassador to Bangladesh Derek Loh Eu-Tse.
The meeting was held at the conference room of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday afternoon, according to a ministry press release.
During the meeting, both sides emphasised strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Singapore, particularly in the aviation and tourism sectors.
The Singapore envoy highlighted the interest of Singapore-based companies Crimson and Enterprise in supporting the modernisation of Bangladesh’s airport services, including the development of an Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS) and an Aeronautical Revenue Management System.
Minister Afroza Khanam expressed Bangladesh’s interest in working jointly with Singapore to further develop the country’s aviation sector.
The two sides also discussed possible cooperation in tourism development through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives, the press release added.
