Their unusual outing during the Kuakata Tourism Carnival 2026 generated excitement among tourists. Travelling by van along the beach, they experienced Kuakata's natural beauty at close range. The golden afternoon light, waves and scenic sunset over the horizon added to the appeal of the visit.
They were accompanied by Patuakhali-4 constituency MP ABM Mosharraf Hossain, reserved-seat MP Sultana Jesmin Jui, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Chairman Shamimuzzaman, Barishal Divisional Commissioner Khalil Ahmed, Patuakhali Deputy Commissioner Chowdhury Ashraful Karim, District Council Administrator Snehu Shukla Sarkar Kutti, Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Secretary Dr Nurunnahar Chowdhury and other officials concerned.
The two-day Tourism Carnival 2026 is being held in Kuakata on October 23 and 24 under the initiative of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation. A range of events has been arranged along the beach, including beach football, a kite festival, an art competition and cultural programmes.
The event also places emphasis on developing Bangladesh’s tourism sector and making Kuakata more attractive to domestic and international visitors.
Those involved in the initiative expect such events to expand Kuakata’s tourism potential. They also anticipate that the carnival will help increase visitor numbers, expand local business and trade, and stimulate economic activities.
