Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders must first complete the online application form on the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre’s website
Bangladeshi citizens planning to visit China for travel, business or study should familiarise themselves with the visa requirements and application procedures before applying. Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders must follow the procedures set by the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in Dhaka.
According to an official notice from the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, holders of ordinary passports must apply through the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in Dhaka for visas and the legalisation of consular documents. This arrangement has been in place since April 11, 2024.
Where to Submit Visa Application
Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders must first complete the online application form on the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre’s website. After uploading the required documents and submitting the application, applicants should check the outcome of the preliminary review. They must then follow the centre’s instructions to complete the subsequent steps after their application and documents have been checked.
Applications can be started online through the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre’s website.
The Dhaka visa application centre is located on the third floor of Prasad Trade Centre, 6 Kamal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka.
Applications and fee payments are accepted from Sunday to Thursday, between 9am and 3pm. Passports and documents can be collected from 9am to 4pm.

The centre’s schedule may change on public holidays. Applicants are advised to check the latest information on the official website before visiting.
Chinese Visa Fees
Visa fees in Bangladesh depend on the visa category, the number of entries permitted and the processing time.
According to a notice issued by the Chinese Embassy on January 7, 2026, the reduced visa fee arrangement for Bangladeshi passport holders has been extended until December 31, 2026.
The notice lists the standard processing fees for Bangladeshi passport holders as Tk 2,400 for a single-entry visa, Tk 3,600 for a double-entry visa and Tk 4,800 for a multiple-entry visa valid for six months. Fees are higher for express or urgent processing. Applicants may also have to pay a service fee to the visa application centre.
Necessary Documents
Applicants should ensure that all information on the application form is accurate, upload the required documents and follow the instructions provided during the application process.
After applying, they should regularly check their status online. Any requests for additional documents or an interview should be addressed within the specified timeframe.
Applicants should also be cautious of unauthorised individuals or organisations claiming they can guarantee a visa. The Chinese Embassy advises applicants to complete the process themselves through the official visa application centre.
