Two-day tourism carnival begins in Kuakata
A concert featuring popular Bangladeshi artists was scheduled for Friday night
A two-day tourism carnival began in Kuakata on Friday, featuring a beach football competition, a kite festival and art competition.
The kite festival was held at Lembur Bon Beach at 4:30pm, with colourful kites filling the sky above the beach. Children taking part in the painting competition depicted tourist destinations, historical monuments and elements of the country’s heritage.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat, State Minister for Planning Md Zonayed Abdur Rahim Saki, Patuakhali-4 lawmaker A B M Mosharrof Hossain and senior administrative officials attended the event among others.
A concert featuring popular Bangladeshi artists was scheduled for Friday night. Saturday’s programme will include a beach marathon, traditional pitha festival and other events.
