Akij Insaf opens diagnostic and consultation centre in Dhanmondi

Akij Insaf Diagnostic and Consultation Centre has begun operations recently in capital’s Dhaka. Eminent physicians and representatives of the healthcare sector attended the opening ceremony, according to a statement issued by the organisation.

According to the statement, Akij Insaf Managing Director (MD) Sheikh Jamil Uddin and Director Rezwana Afroze spoke at the inauguration of the new diagnostic centre.

The statement said the new Diagnostic and Consultation Centre in Dhanmondi was launched with the commitment of Care and Happy Experience at Every Step. The centre will combine specialist medical consultations, modern diagnostic tests and patient-centred services. It will offer comprehensive pathology services along with MRI, CT scan, X-ray, mammography, ultrasonography, ETT and echocardiogram. Specialist physicians from various departments will also see patients there regularly.

The organisation said it is offering special benefits on diagnostic tests for a month to mark the opening. Patients will receive discounts of up to 50 percent on most pathology, radiology and imaging tests.

For safe patient movement, the diagnostic centre has been equipped with electric stretchers, electric wheelchairs and ‘auto height adjustable’ patient beds with height-adjustment facilities. This will make it easier and safer to transport elderly, overweight and mobility-impaired patients from ambulances to doctors’ chambers.

As part of its technology-based services, the centre offers online booking for various tests. When booking MRI, CT scan, X-ray, mammography, ultrasonography, ETT, echocardiogram and other tests online, patients will be able to watch instructional videos to help them prepare for the procedures. Preparatory information is also regularly displayed on monitors on different floors of the centre so that patients and their attendants can be informed in advance.

An Akij Insaf official said the Akij Insaf Diagnostic and Consultation Centre will work to ensure a positive experience at every stage of healthcare by prioritising modern technology, quality treatment, integrated diagnostic facilities and patient comfort.
