Biman suspends Dammam flights for 3 days, Riyadh until Oct 31
Flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Madinah will continue to operate according to their existing schedules
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all Dhaka-Dammam flights scheduled for October 23, 24 and 25 and extended the suspension of Dhaka-Riyadh services until October 31 to ensure passenger safety.
The state-owned airline announced the decisions in a press release on Saturday following an attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday night.
In view of the ongoing air attacks, Biman has also decided to keep all Dhaka-Riyadh flights suspended until October 31 in the interest of passenger safety, it cited.
The airline will announce further decisions on the suspended flights and revised schedules in due course.
Meanwhile, flights from Dhaka to Jeddah and Madinah will continue to operate according to their existing schedules.
Passengers with urgent travel needs who are bound for Dammam or Riyadh may travel to Saudi Arabia and return to Bangladesh through Jeddah and Madinah international airports, subject to seat availability.
Biman has requested passengers to contact their nearest sales centre for ticketing and travel-related information.
