Biman Bangladesh Airlines has transferred commercial official Mohammad Moin Uddin, also known as 'Moinuddin Lotus', from the cargo division of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport amid allegations of involvement in the smuggling of gold and other goods.
According to an order issued by Biman's administration department on Monday, Assistant Manager (Commercial) Moin Uddin (P-36709) was transferred from Cargo Division of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) to the airline's DSO office at Farmgate in Dhaka.
The order, issued with the approval of the authorities, instructed him to be 'stand released' from his current workplace on September 7 and join his new posting on Tuesday, September 8.
