US-Bangla to resume Kathmandu flights in Sept
The Dhaka-Kathmandu route was halted in March 2018, hot on the heels of an accident at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal

The private aviation giant US-Bangla Airlines is preparing to restart its Dhaka–Kathmandu passenger service this September, nearly eight years after suspending operations on the route, reports Bangladesh Monitor.
The private carrier plans to operate four weekly flights using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, aiming to boost connectivity between Bangladesh and Nepal for tourists, businesspeople, and other travellers.
The route was originally halted in March 2018, following an accident at Tribhuvan International Airport. Now, with preparations already in motion, the airline is set to make a formal comeback.
Industry insiders say the renewed service will enhance bilateral ties, facilitate leisure and religious travel, and support commercial exchanges. Nepal continues to be a popular destination for Bangladeshi visitors, and the route is expected to see steady demand.
An official announcement regarding schedules and ticketing is expected shortly, restoring US-Bangla’s foothold in the Nepalese aviation market after a gap of over eight years.
