German chain Barock Café opens new Gulshan outlet

German café chain Barock Café has opened a new outlet in Dhaka’s Gulshan-2, adding another international-style café option to the capital’s upscale dining scene.

Located at House 9/B on Road 51/53, the new outlet was inaugurated on August 24. Barock Café CEO Jeannette Shek and Managing Director Badal Ahmed attended the opening ceremony.

This outlet has been designed around European café aesthetics while incorporating features intended for Bangladesh’s contemporary café and dining market.

In addition to coffee and food, the venue offers spaces for private and professional gatherings. Customers can hold birthday celebrations, family events, corporate meetings and other social functions at the outlet.

Ahmed said the new location aims to bring together European café traditions and modern dining preferences, offering customers a setting centred on coffee, food and social experiences.

The company said the Gulshan outlet is part of a broader expansion plan under which Barock Café will establish additional locations.

According to the company, the expansion is also expected to create employment opportunities as new outlets are opened.

Barock Café also said it plans to allocate part of its profits to humanitarian and social welfare initiatives, linking its business expansion with community-focused activities.
