Storm likely in 8 regions by Tuesday evening
According to a weather warning issued on Tuesday morning, the affected regions are Dhaka, Faridpur, Barishal, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds in eight regions of the country, including Dhaka and Chattogram, by this evening.
According to a weather warning issued on Tuesday morning, the affected regions are Dhaka, Faridpur, Barishal, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet.
The Met Office said temporary rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty or squally winds may occur in these areas between 9:00am and 6:00pm.
Winds blowing from the west or north-west may reach speeds of 45 to 60 kilometres per hour during the period, the forecast added.
In view of the weather conditions, river ports in the affected regions have been advised to hoist Local Cautionary Signal No. 1.
