Saudia Cargo, Tibah partner to boost Madinah logistics
Saudia Cargo and Tibah Airports partner to boost Madinah Airport’s air cargo capabilities with special rates, incentives, and knowledge sharing, supporting Saudi Arabia’s logistics hub ambitions
Saudia Cargo and Tibah Airports Operation Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening air cargo operations at Madinah’s Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport. The agreement was announced during the 20th Steering Committee Meeting for the Activation of the National Aviation Sector Strategy, reports Air Cargo Week.
The partnership combines Saudia Cargo’s global logistics expertise with the strategic advantages of Madinah Airport, which is managed by Tibah. Their goal is to improve supply chain efficiency and keep pace with rapid aviation sector growth.
Key areas of cooperation include supporting logistics initiatives, working with legislative and government bodies, organising regular workshops and consultations, and facilitating the smooth exchange of information, expertise, and resources. The MoU also focuses on enhancing operational effectiveness through knowledge transfer, specialised training, and ongoing meetings, with a strong emphasis on improving customer experience through innovative logistics plans.
To stimulate air cargo and export activity in Madinah, Saudia Cargo will offer special shipping rates. In return, Tibah will provide incentive programs to support Saudia Cargo’s operations at the airport. This strategic collaboration aims to boost cargo flows, offer more competitive services, and help establish Madinah as a leading aviation and logistics hub, supporting Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and global connectivity goals.
