Govt extends Fuel Pass system to private cars
Fuel Pass application, which was previously used mainly for motorcycles, will now also cover private cars, allowing them to receive fuel through the system
The government has expanded the ‘Fuel Pass’ facility nationwide by bringing private cars under the digital fuel distribution system, aiming to ensure transparency and accountability in fuel supply, according to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
In a statement, the ministry said the Fuel Pass application, which was previously used mainly for motorcycles, will now also cover private cars, allowing them to receive fuel through the system.
It added that private cars must complete registration under the Fuel Pass platform to access fuel services. In the initial phase, vehicles in the ‘Ka’, ‘Kha’ and ‘Ga’ categories have been opened for registration, while other vehicle categories will be included gradually in phases.
The statement further said that all fuel stations in the capital will soon start supplying fuel to private cars registered under the Fuel Pass system.
