Fahmida Akhter made new civil aviation, tourism secretary
Previously, Fahmida had been serving as additional secretary at Ministry of Labour and Employment

The government has promoted additional secretary Fahmida Akhter and appointed her secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, Fahmida Akhter, an NDC (7715) officer, had been serving as an additional secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Employment prior to her promotion, reports BSS.
Following the elevation, she has been posted as secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
In another move, the current secretary Nasreen Jahan has been transferred to the Planning Commission as its member (secretary).
The notification said the order was issued in the public interest and will take an immediate effect.
