BTTF to begin on October 29 in Dhaka

The Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2026, an international tourism fair featuring participation from more than 20 countries, will begin in Dhaka on October 29 with intent to promote the tourism industry, create new business opportunities and strengthen regional and international cooperation in the sector.

The three-day fair, being organised by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), will continue until October 31 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC).

Private carrier US-Bangla Airlines is the title sponsor of this year’s fair.

The details of BTTF 2026 were unveiled at a press conference held at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport on Monday. TOAB President Mohammad Hanif chaired the press conference.

According to the organisers, more than 200 booths and stalls will be set up at the fair, featuring over 220 exhibitors, more than 250 qualified buyers and over 2,500 trade visitors. More than 60,000 visitors are expected to attend the event.

More than 200 tourism-related organisations, including airlines, hotels and tour operators, will participate across four themed exhibition halls. Local and international tourism businesses will have opportunities to showcase their services, products and destinations.

Participation from Nepal, India, Singapore, the Maldives and the Philippines has already been confirmed. Tourism organisations, tour operators and travel agencies from Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, China, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Azerbaijan, among others, are also expected to participate, the organisers said.

They said the participation of international tourism partners would help promote destinations in different countries, expand business networking and strengthen cooperation between Bangladesh and international tourism markets.

The fair will receive support from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, National Skills Development Authority (NSDA), Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Bangladesh Tourist Police and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).

Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport is the platinum hospitality partner, while Opus Communications Ltd is the PR partner, M360 ICT is the technology partner and Convoy Services is the transport partner.

The organisers said BTTF has established itself as one of South Asia’s important tourism marketplaces following more than 13 successful editions. By bringing buyers and sellers together on a single platform, the fair has helped create new business opportunities and strengthen regional and international tourism cooperation.

They expressed hope that BTTF 2026 would help increase international promotion of Bangladesh’s tourism destinations, create new business connections and strengthen the country’s position in the global tourism market.
