The embassies of Schengen member states in Dhaka have issued a public notice urging visa recipients to strictly follow the travel itineraries they submitted with their applications.

The message, shared on their verified Facebook page on Monday, congratulated successful applicants but stressed the importance of compliance. “If your Schengen visa has been approved, congratulations. Make sure to follow the travel plan you submitted in your application,” the notice said.

The embassies also cautioned that any deviation from the declared itinerary could negatively affect future visa applications to Schengen countries.

Officials noted that such advisories are issued regularly to keep Bangladeshi travellers informed about visa rules, entry conditions and compliance requirements.

The Schengen Area, which includes 29 European countries, operates under a unified visa system and a co-ordinated border management framework.
