An IndiGo flight arriving in Dhaka from New Delhi was briefly halted at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after the pilot spotted foxes near the taxiway, airport officials said.

The incident took place on Wednesday when the aircraft was moving from the taxiway towards the terminal after landing. According to officials, the pilot stopped the aircraft after noticing a fox near the runway area and requested assistance from the airport control tower.
The regarding the incident had reached him.

Audio communication between the IndiGo cockpit and the airport control tower could also be heard in the video.
In the recording, the pilot informed the tower, “Sir, we can see a fox in the grass about 30 feet to the right side of the aircraft. We are holding position. Once it is cleared, we will taxi.”

The control tower responded by saying personnel were being sent to the spot and instructed the aircraft to remain on hold.
A short while later, the cockpit crew reported spotting another fox crossing from left to right and informed the tower that two foxes were positioned roughly 100 feet ahead of the aircraft.

The tower then confirmed that two personnel in a vehicle had already been dispatched to the area.

Soon afterwards, a black pickup truck arrived near the aircraft. The cockpit crew later informed the tower that the foxes appeared to be hiding in the grass around 50 feet away from the vehicle and suggested there might be a hole in the area.

The entire incident was captured on camera by a plane spotter and later uploaded to a Facebook page named “Royal Bengal Aviation”.
An airport official confirmed the matter, saying the flight remained stationary for around one minute before resuming movement towards the terminal.

Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, SM Ragib Samad, said wildlife movement is occasionally seen around the airport premises.

However, the airport personnel reportedly found only a green polythene bag near the aircraft and informed the tower accordingly. After confirming the situation was safe, the cockpit crew agreed to continue taxiing and the control tower guided the aircraft towards the terminal.
