The notice was issued in a post published on the embassy’s verified Facebook page on Saturday.
The warning said lying during an interview could result in the concerned visa applicant being barred from entering the United States.
Addressing US visa applicants, the post said, ‘Consular officers are aware of any information about your past violations of immigration laws.’
Against this backdrop, the post advised visa applicants, ‘So tell the truth during your interview, lying could result in you being barred from entering the United States.'
