Major reshuffle at immigration, passport dept

The Department of Immigration and Passports has transferred and reassigned 14 officials in a major administrative reshuffle.

The information was disclosed in a notification signed by Director General Major General Md Nurul Anwar on Tuesday.

According to the notification, Deputy Director Bipul Kumar Goswami of the Accounts Branch at the headquarters has been transferred to the Chattogram Chandgaon Regional Passport Office.

Deputy Director Md Nurul Huda, previously attached to the Gopalganj Regional Passport Office, has been assigned to the Dhaka headquarters but will perform duties at the Habiganj Regional Passport Office.

Deputy Director Abu Nayeem Masum of the Faridpur Regional Passport Office has been transferred to the Narayanganj Regional Passport Office, while Deputy Director Md Afzal Hossain of the Rangpur Divisional Passport and Visa Office has been transferred to the Noakhali Regional Passport Office. 

Deputy Director Shariful Islam of the Chattogram Chandgaon Regional Passport Office has been attached to the Accounts Branch at the headquarters.

Deputy Director Murad Chowdhury, previously attached to the Uttara Personalisation Complex, has been reassigned to the Moulvibazar Regional Passport Office.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director Shamim Ahmed of the Narayanganj Regional Passport Office has been transferred to the Keraniganj Regional Passport Office. He has also been attached to the Personalisation Complex under the Uttara Basic Clearance Branch.

Deputy Director Md Jamal Hossain, who was attached to both the Noakhali Regional Passport Office and the Uttara Personalisation Complex, has been transferred to the Rangpur Divisional Passport and Visa Office.

Assistant Director Md Abzaul Alam of the Rajbari Regional Passport Office has been transferred to the Tangail Regional Passport Office, while Assistant Director Md Saleh Uddin of the Administration Branch at the Dhaka headquarters has been transferred to the Rajbari Regional Passport Office.

Assistant Director Jebunnahar Parveen of the Tangail Regional Passport Office has been transferred to the Moulvibazar Regional Passport Office and attached to the Uttara Basic Clearance Branch.

Assistant Director Sachib Kumar Ain of the Habiganj Regional Passport Office will remain in his current office while also serving at the Bandarban Regional Passport Office.

In addition, Assistant Director Md Shariful Islam of the Chapainawabganj Regional Passport Office has been transferred to the Administration Branch at the Dhaka headquarters, while Assistant Director Md Masum Billah of the Moulvibazar Regional Passport Office has been transferred to the Chapainawabganj Regional Passport Office. 

The notification further stated that all transferred and reassigned officials must join their new workplaces by the forenoon of May 17.
