ICAB gets new president, veeps for 2026–27
The newly elected office bearers assume their responsibilities tomorrow (July 1)
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has elected Sabbir Ahmed FCA as its president and Neaz Mohammed FCA, Ala Uddin FCA, Asifur Rahman FCA, and Mohammad Redwanur Rahman FCA as vice-presidents of the organisation for the July 2026-June 2027 term.
The newly elected office-bearers will assume their respective responsibilities tomorrow (1 July 2026).
Ala Uddin FCA is the deputy managing director and chief financial officer of MetLife Bangladesh. With more than 22 years of leadership experience in financial management, he has previously held senior finance positions at Robi Axiata Limited, Novartis Bangladesh Limited, Grameenphone and British American Tobacco Bangladesh.
Asifur Rahman FCA is a partner at Hussain Farhad & Co, Chartered Accountants, specialising in statutory audit, assurance, risk management, compliance, and internal control. With more than 25 years of professional experience, he has held senior leadership positions, including Financial Controller at MetLife Bangladesh.
Mohammad Redwanur Rahman FCA is the senior partner of Redwan Rahman & Co, Chartered Accountants. He previously served in senior finance and audit leadership roles at MetLife Bangladesh, LankaBangla Investments Limited, Union Capital Limited and KPMG Bangladesh.
