German Embassy reminds applicants to apply from country of residence

The German Embassy in Dhaka has reminded visa applicants that they must submit their applications from the country where they reside, reiterating jurisdiction rules for processing requests, said a statement posted on the embassy's Facebook page.
According to the statement, applicants are required to apply in their country of residence and that the mission in Dhaka is only authorized to process visa applications from residents of Bangladesh.

"The German Embassy in Dhaka is only locally competent to decide on visa applications from residents of Bangladesh,” the statement said.
Such reminders are periodically issued to ensure applicants follow correct procedures and to avoid complications in visa processing.
