European envoys discuss aviation ties with Bangladesh
The discussions focused on the long-standing friendship between Bangladesh and its European partners, growing economic cooperation, expanding cooperation in civil aviation and areas of mutual interest

Bangladesh and five European diplomatic missions discussed expanding cooperation in civil aviation, as well as trade, investment and defence, during a meeting between Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs and Civil Aviation Adviser Humayun Kabir and senior European envoys in Dhaka on July 16.
The meeting, held at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon, was attended by French Ambassador Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet, Spanish Ambassador Gabriel Sistiaga, British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke, European Union Chargé d'Affaires Baiba Zarina and German Chargé d'Affaires Anja Karsten, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Ashik Chowdhury also attended the meeting.
According to the statement, the discussions focused on the long-standing friendship between Bangladesh and its European partners, growing economic cooperation and areas of mutual interest.
Both sides placed particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation in civil aviation, alongside trade and investment, defence and other strategic sectors. They stressed the importance of broadening and deepening bilateral cooperation across these areas.
Humayun Kabir expressed hope that Bangladesh's partnerships with European countries would continue to deepen on the basis of mutual trust and shared interests.
The European diplomats reaffirmed their respective countries' commitment to further expanding multifaceted cooperation with Bangladesh, including in sectors that support economic growth and connectivity, such as civil aviation.
