Civil Aviation Academy completes Airport Security Manager Course
Senior officials from various government and private organisations across the country took part in the course. The training covered various modern aspects of airport security management
In order to upgrade the security system of the country’s airports to international standards and enhance the skills of relevant officials, the Airport Security Manager Course–25, organised at the Civil Aviation Academy, has been successfully completed.
A certificate distribution ceremony was held on Tuesday (28 April) at the academy premises to mark the closing of the course. The course began earlier on 12 April, says a press release.
Senior officials from various government and private organisations across the country took part in the course. The training covered various modern aspects of airport security management.
The training was conducted by instructors including the Director of the Academy and ICAO instructor Prashanta Kumar Chakraborty, along with experienced aviation sector experts.
The training provided detailed knowledge on threat detection, risk analysis, passenger and baggage screening, X-ray image analysis, explosive detection techniques, and international aviation security policies.
At the closing ceremony, Air Commodore Md Asif Iqbal, Member (Security) of the Civil Aviation Authority, attended as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the trainees.
He said that the knowledge gained through this training would play an important role in further strengthening the security of the country’s airports.
