Ten women professionals have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to Bangladesh’s aviation, tourism and hospitality sectors at the ATJFB AviaTour Women’s Icon Award 2026, organised by the Aviation and Tourism Journalists Forum of Bangladesh in the capital. 

The awards were presented at a ceremony held at the All Community Club on Saturday, reports BSS.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat attended the event as chief guest and handed over the awards to the recipients.

In pilot category, Sajidina Sultana Soni, First Officer of Air Astra, received the award.

In cabin crew category, Farzana Yasmin, head of cabin service of Novoair, received the award while in sales and marketing category, the award went to Farhana Yasmin, Senior Executive (Sales and Marketing) of US-Bangla Airlines.

Mousumi Akter, assistant manager of Customer Service Department of US-Bangla Airlines, was awarded in customer service category.

In aviation entrepreneur category, Mehnaz Mannan, Group Chairman of Bengal Airlift Limited, was honoured, while Mukta Wahid, Manager of Cabin Service at US-Bangla Airlines, received the award in instructor category.

Bosra Islam, General Manager (Public Relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, was recognised in the public relations category.

In tourism-related categories, Sumaiya Tahmim Bushra, a guide at Riverine Tours, received the award in the tour guide category, while Aksa Iqbal, chef at The Westin Dhaka, was honoured in the culinary tourism category.
