Midnight airport visit by state minister to review passenger services
State Minister conducts surprise midnight inspection at Dhaka airport.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat conducted a surprise midnight inspection at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to review passenger services and overall operations.
During the visit on Sunday's night, the state minister toured several key areas of the airport and inquired about the current operational situation and service delivery for passengers, according to ministry's sources.
Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and other senior officials concerned were present at the time.
They briefed the minister on the airport’s routine operations, passenger service management and ongoing development activities.
The state minister also spoke with passengers at the airport to learn about their travel experiences and any difficulties they faced.
He sought detailed information from officials regarding service standards, security arrangements and infrastructure-related activities.
Speaking during the visit, Millat said the government has undertaken various development initiatives to ensure improved and standard passenger services, adding that such efforts will continue in the future.
He also stressed the importance of further enhancing passenger service quality and making the airport’s overall management more modern and efficient.
Expressing satisfaction after the inspection, the state minister said he hopes that through coordinated efforts of all concerned, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport will be developed into a more modern and passenger-friendly airport.
He also urged officials to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity to achieve this goal.
