Aviation minister makes surprise Dhaka Airport visit
The minister stressed the need to further improve the quality of passenger services
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat visited Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at around 10pm on Friday and spoke with passengers during the visit, according to the ministry.
The visit was unannounced, the release mentioned. Millat went to the baggage belt area and spoke with passengers waiting for their luggage. He asked how long they had to wait for their bags after disembarking from aircraft and about their experiences with the baggage delivery process.
Passengers expressed satisfaction with the baggage delivery management, according to the release. They also mentioned they were satisfied with receiving their luggage within the scheduled time.
During the visit, the minister stressed the need to further improve the quality of passenger services.
Millat instructed the relevant officials to give the highest priority to passenger comfort and satisfaction in the airport’s overall operations. He also directed that the number of trolleys be increased quickly for passengers’ convenience.
Relevant airport officials and those responsible for various duties were present during the visit.
