A total of 186 Bangladeshi nationals, evacuated from conflict-hit Iran, departed Baku Friday for Dhaka on a special Biman flight and are expected to arrive early today, says a press release.

According to the foreign ministry release, the evacuees crossed the Iran–Azerbaijan border by land before boarding the special flight operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Baku, Azerbaijan.

They are scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 1:30 am on March 21.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated the evacuation with support from the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, along with Bangladesh missions in Tehran, Ankara, New Delhi, and Geneva.
