Oman Air will operate nonstop daily flights between Dhaka and Muscat starting May 1, increasing its current frequency of five weekly flights on this route, the airline announced in an official statement on April 21.

Enhanced connectivity

The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman has been expanding services to the Indian Subcontinent in response to growing passenger demand. In addition to Dhaka, the airline has increased frequencies to Calicut from six to ten weekly and added capacity to Mumbai.
Flight schedule and aircraft

The Dhaka-bound flight, WY317, will depart Muscat at 08:25 and arrive in Dhaka at 15:10 (local time). The return flight, WY318, will leave Dhaka at 16:00 and reach Muscat at 18:50 (local time).

On selected days, Oman Air will deploy its state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the Dhaka route. The aircraft features 30 luxurious business class seats with full line-flat capabilities and 258 spacious economy class seats in a comfortable two-class cabin layout.

Premium travel experience
Oman Air's award-winning Business Class offers direct aisle access, large personal entertainment screens, exclusive amenity kits, and priority lounge access. Economy Class passengers can enjoy ergonomically designed seats with generous legroom, advanced in-flight entertainment systems, and warm Omani hospitality.

Seamless onward connections

The airline has strategically aligned its Dhaka flight schedule to provide smooth onward connections to major European destinations through its Muscat hub, including London, Milan, Rome, Frankfurt, Zurich, Paris, Istanbul, and Moscow, as well as key GCC destinations.

Network expansion

The Dhaka frequency increase is part of Oman Air's phased return to regular regional operations. The airline recently resumed flights to Dubai (daily), Bahrain (five weekly), and Khasab (four weekly), and has announced plans for new routes to Singapore, Tashkent, and Sochi for the summer 2026 schedule.

With the expatriate Bangladeshi community in Oman and growing travel demand between the two countries, the daily service is expected to benefit both leisure and business travelers.
